What you are actually trying to find out
You are not reading this to learn somebody’s career history. You are trying to work out whether the person on the other end will tell you the truth, and whether they will still be there when something goes wrong.
Those are fair questions and adjectives do not answer them. What follows is how this business actually works, so you can hold us to it.
How the work is done
- You explore before you decide
Nothing is asked of you until you want it to be. You can look at every possibility, ask anything, and walk away, without an application and without a credit pull. That is the whole shape of how this business is built, and it is why the first step is called Explore rather than Apply.
- A person rings you back
Not an automated sequence. What you send goes onto a coach’s list and somebody calls. If you text outside working hours, Money Penny — our AI assistant — answers, takes what matters and makes sure it reaches a person. She is named as what she is, and she will never quote you a rate.
- No rate before somebody has looked
Not on this site, not on the phone, not as a way of getting you interested. A number given before anyone has read your file is a guess dressed as an answer, and it is how people end up disappointed at the worst possible moment.
- You are told when the answer is no
Including when the honest answer is that none of the options is right, or that you should leave the mortgage you have alone. That advice earns nothing. It is still the advice you will get.
Women in Real Estate
WIRE Funding is short for Women in Real Estate Funding. It is run from Davie, and a great deal of the work is with buyers nobody else made time for — first-time buyers, self-employed borrowers whose tax returns understate what they earn, and older homeowners deciding what to do with a house they have been in for decades.
